Hi Linda -

I’m really glad to help, and very happy that you are recovering. I think we all forget a lot more than we imagine after we leave school, and adding a physical challenge on top of that would be a difficult road. There are days when my daughter comes home with something basic where I have to think carefully how to do it or explain it as it is.

Calculators and computers I think make all of us “math lazy” these days, even me. I’m trying to set the example for my kids for working out some problems on paper or in your head, but that calculator button is tempting. Your not giving in and just reaching for the “equals” button says a great deal about your strength of character.

You’re effort to get back on top of your math skills is truly inspiring!

First let me say that I’m not a teacher. I’m doing this for myself.
I’m 58 years old, and not long ago suffered a terrible brain injury.
All my life it’s burned me that I never mastered simple algebra. Well, of course to do algebra one has to have all the basic math functions down. To my chagrin I’d forgotten how to do most of it, down to simple multiplication. This is why I use your sheets.
Sometimes because of my impaired brain function it’s terribly frustrating, even doing the simple things. But day after day I keep at it.
I can’t thank you enough for making these worksheets available!!

Yea, good job I like it, divison is hard for my students. Make some more worksheets, I have all most used every one you have, keep it coming!
