Fraction Subtraction Worksheets!

It’s been a while since we first dipped our toe in the fraction pond with basic fraction addition worksheets… The water must have been cold, because it took a long time to finally get back to subtraction. You can find the new worksheets here…

Trying to open some of the different titles from the main list. Each time I click on, it opens Fraction Subtraction Worksheet information. This is not what I want. How can I open the page I am looking for? Thanks Rosalie

Hi Rosalie -
I tried a few links off the main page, and it seems to be getting to the right pages right now… Can you try again, or maybe if it’s a specific link that’s broken let me know which one you’re clicking?
Many thanks,
Dad

I love this website and it has been of great help to our son! Unfortunately we are not able to print out any addition fractions-it sends us to the home page which shows the fraction subtraction-is there another way I can get the worksheets? I click on the Fraction Addition link on the right hand side and no matter which link I click on after that, it sends me back to the home page. Thank you for posting these-again, they’ve been of great help!

Hi Shannon -
I double checked all the links to the subtraction pages again (and made sure the issue Rosalie mentioned above where everything went to subtraction wasn’t around), and it seems like it’s good on the server… Just to be sure, I refreshed everything so it has new date/time stamps and should recache in your browser… Please try again, and if it’s still giving you trouble try clearing your browser’s cache.
If that doesn’t fix you up, let me know… Sorry this isn’t working for you!

Hi there,
My 4th grade class loves your site. We have been using the Timer everyday. But the last two weeks it does not load properly on the page anymore. Just a portion of it loads, so we have not been able to use it. I have tried on several different computers and it is the same issue.
Have you changed it recently?
Thank you!

Hi Kelli -
It looks similar to that issue Shannon reported above… I saw the same thing here just now when I tried it. I refreshed that page on the server and it comes up okay now… Try clearing your browser’s cache if it doesn’t look right still on that end. Sorry for the confusion!

Hi Dad,
Thanks for the great site. My child’s grasp of her times tables has come along enormously since I’ve started printing off the worksheets.
I noticed, however, that she hasn’t got a proper grasp of the terminology in math. She will be able to compute 68 x 35 correctly in her sleep, but if the question asks her to find the product of 60 and 35 she can’t do it. I’ve started writing “find the sum”, “find the product”, etc. at the top of the worksheets, and she has started to learn the vocabulary along with her basic facts.
I don’t know how hard it would be to add one line of instructions at the top of each worksheet, but that would be my suggestion to make a great website even better!

Thanks Melissa… Some of the worksheets have an instruction section at the top under the name (the fraction worksheets are all good examples), and I’ve thought about trying to create more robust instructions that actually illustrate how to do an example at the top, but haven’t pursued this…
Unfortunately, most of the basic operation worksheets like multiplication were created before I had any of this in place, and they’re pretty full pages already. Adding the instruction line to these right now would only make printing these on a single page more difficult, so that’s not likely something I can do without reworking the entire layout of those.
However, it would be good maybe to start working on some terminology sheets. I’ve noticed my 5 year old having similar issues with subtraction/minus/take-away all meaning the same thing, and maybe some sort of matching exercise would be good…

Hi Dad,
Just wanted to thank you for all your hard work and efforts you have put forth on this site. Our oldest has difficulty in math concepts, and when we found your site we felt truly blessed! You have such a wide range of levels that we can hit on just what she needs, when she needs it.
Again thank you and please keep up the good work!!
