Practice worksheets with subtraction problems that may yield negative answers.

Where the previous negative number subtraction worksheets used a number line to reinforce the concept of moving backwards across zero to get a negative result, these worksheets present subtraction problems that yield negative results just like 'normal' subtraction problems. The student is required to recognize when the difference will be negative and manipulate the sign of the answer accordingly. The first set of subtraction worksheets in this section have single digit subtraction problems with negative results. Additional sets of worksheets progress to include two digit subtraction, three digit subtraction and four digit subtraction problems, all with negative differences. The final set of subtraction worksheets include subtraction problems with three arguments that might have a negative answer.
