Wide Ruled Paper
Printable wide ruled paper for 8.5 x 11 inch printing. Wide ruled puts the writing lines 11/32 of an inch apart (about 8.7 mm), which is the standard spacing for elementary school notebooks and the easiest of the adult rulings for a child to write on.

Who Wide Ruled Is For
Wide ruled fits about 27 lines on a page against college ruled's 33. That extra room matters more than it sounds: children in the early grades write tall, and cramming their letters into a narrower line is a reliable way to make handwriting worse. Most schools ask for wide ruled through about third grade, and plenty of older students prefer it.
If the writing is still at the letter-formation stage, use primary writing paper instead — it adds a dashed middle line so a child can see how tall each letter should be. Going the other way, college ruled paper fits more words on the page for older students.
Changing the Spacing
The line height control below the sheet takes any measurement, so you are not limited to the standard rulings. Teachers often want something between wide and college for a particular class, or a much taller line for a student who needs the space. Set the value, watch the sheet redraw, and print it.
Print at 100% or Actual Size rather than "Fit to Page" — scaling the page changes the line spacing, and the whole point of a named ruling is that the spacing is what it says it is.
